The Ouster serie are IP68 and IP69K rated, this means you can using indoor or outdoor with specific dust and water conditions.
To use the Ouster in such conditions, you need to use IP67+ cable as well.
Even if the sensor can withstand rain and different outdoor conditions, we recommend to build a “roof protection” above the sensor to prevent :
- External shock (risk of moving or damaging the sensor)
- Overheating (from sustained sun exposition)
