LightAct with Augmenta PosiStageNet (PSN)

Prerequisites:
  • Having LightAct installed on your computer
  • Having Fusion installed on your computer
On LightAct :
Add a Blank Layer.
Double-click on it, then right-click, search for PSN and select “Read Psn” node.
Add “Set Object Transform” node.
Link them like that :

Open the “Devices” window and add a “Psn receiver”.

In your layer > layer variable, add a device that you click and drag to link it to your Read Psn node.

Now, open Fusion.
In outputs > protocols, select PosiStageNet.
Check that the multicast adress and multicast port are the same as those indicated in LightAct Devices window.

Add a generator to your Fusion scene and place 2 points on it.

Don’t forget to disable the Auto clear function if you don’t want your points to disappear after 5 seconds.

Check that you are receiving the data in the LightAct Psn receiver.

After, go to the viewport. Here you have your 3D scene in which you’ll visualize your moving points with Psn data.
In your left-hand toolbar, look for the Tracking Visualizer icon. Click and drag it anywhere in your scene.
Click on it, your tracking visualizer will appear in Objects window.
In its properties, you’ll find general information about the object’s position. Click on content and select the PSN receiver as tracking device.
Information about your PSN receiver appears, and you need to fill in the tracker names to see your points in the scene.

You can now divide your screen into a LightAct part and a second Fusion part and move your points into Fusion.

They should move into your LightAct scene !
